Understanding Mechanical Drawings, Self Study

Course Length: Self-Paced               Course Fee: $295.00
                                                                        (Sales tax applies in Arizona)

This course is the same as our Understanding Mechanical Drawings with Live Instructor, but in a package that allows you to study whenever you have time.

Instead of having a "live" instructor, we provide a series of audio CDs that were recorded during actual Live Instructor training sessions. The audio CDs include questions from students and answers from the instructor. It's as close as you can get to actually attending a Live Instructor class. Questions from students purchasing this training material will be answered via e-mail or telephone. Since the course is the same, the topics covered are the same as those in the Live Instructor version of the class.

This course has value for anyone who uses mechanical drawings of the type used in machinery design, fixture design, aerospace, electronic packaging, etc.

This course does not address the type of mechanical drawings used in HVAC or any other part of the construction or civil engineering trades.

The course is especially useful for employees who must occasionally read and interpret mechanical drawings, as when dealing with customers and vendors, but who are not trained designers or drafters. While the course is written to train those who are not intimately familiar with mechanical drawings to use them effectively, even designers and engineers who have used or created mechanical drawings for many years will find new and useful information presented in the course.

We consider this course so important that it is used as the first session of the Geoemtric Dimensioning & Tolerancing Certification Exam Prep Class. The information contained in this class is necessary in order to establish a common base of understanding for those taking the GD&T class. The price above is for Understanding Mechanical Drawings as a stand-alone class. If you purchase either the Self-Study or Live Instructor GD&T class, Understanding Mechanical Drawings is taught as the first four-hour session and there is no extra charge for it.
